The following datasets have been created by the Project.
Nuclear Wallet Cards (version with daughter decay)
The Project created a value-added version of the Nuclear Wallet Cards. The original version
( Brookhaven National Laboratory Nuclear Wallet Card Site)
did not explicitly include decay chain daughter elements for each isotope. Our version (found here:
UC Berkeley value-added Nuclear Wallet Cards )
has the following Excel spreadsheet columns:
A -- Atomic Weight
Z -- Atomic Number
elem -- Element Abbreviation (e.g. HE for Helium)
decay_mode
d_A -- Daughter Atomic Weight
d_Z -- Daughter Atomic Number
branch_percent -- from parent isotope to daughter
abundance
half_life_txt -- textual description, e.g. STABLE
half_life_sec -- half life in seconds
MeV --
at_mass --

These decay chain relationships were used to create directed graph visualizations of the nuclear decay mechanism. See Visualizations for examples of Plutonium isotope decay.
